Semi-Detached

Bored in lockdown, we had an idea to create a season of plays filmed over zoom from new work by Sussex writers. We wanted to fly the flag for provocative, interesting, and punchy new writing. First to answer the call was Brighton-based journalist, playwright, and author, Julie Burchill.

Her short play titled, ‘Semi-Detached’ is a lockdown love story. It was conceived to be recorded via zoom, partly as we needed to respect the social distancing rules, but also because it was completely appropriate to the story. Disclaimer - it’s a bit rude, there are sexual references and explicit language…imagine a Radio Four Play but just with more porn references.
